Our world is at a critical fork in the road.

The increasingly emboldened darker side of us threatens not only democratic institutions but also the health of our mother earth. The stakes have never been higher.

The good news is that you, as a coach, hold the key. You have the potential to awaken and unleash the mostly untapped good in the world to affect the outcome.

The bad news?

The average coach today has only 1% of the impact they could be having.

The reason for this boils down to 3 things that tend to happen when working with clients:

1. They focus on insight rather than muscle. For example, the insight that being frustrated isn't helpful doesn’t automatically lead to you not feeling frustrated. It takes mental muscle to shift brain activation.

2. They treat symptoms rather than cause. Teaching the techniques of, say, active listening to improve empathy can only have a temporary impact if your underlying Saboteurs are not exposed and intercepted.

3. They have no common operating system. There so many different frameworks — the 7 habits of effective people, the 4 keys to managing conflict, the 5 secrets of managing time, etc. These frameworks compete for mindshare and eventually all fade away.

Today, I want challenge you to exponentially increase your impact and overcome these obstacles -- because that’s what’s possible and that’s what’s needed. And I want to show you how.

A Radical New Approach to Coaching

Shirzad Chamine

I'm Shirzad Chamine, author of the New York Times bestselling book, Positive Intelligence, and Stanford lecturer.

I've created a radical new solution that results in dramatic and sustained improvements in your impact on any client you choose to coach and the number of clients you will be able to impact through your coaching efforts.

It's all research-based, including 500,000 participants, and applies the latest breakthroughs in neuroscience and psychology.

You get to have a significant, measurable, and lasting impact on your clients all while forever changing the lives of more of the people you went into the coaching industry to support.

Our breakthrough research demonstrates that the enormous variety of ways people sabotage their own effectiveness and happiness are caused by just 10 factors -- your Saboteurs.

More importantly, we've discovered that there are only 5 core positive powers -- your Sage.

The practical implications of these findings are profound. Rather than focusing on the symptoms which fail to address the underlying root causes, we have developed a mental fitness program that is proven to weaken self-sabotage and strengthen the inner sage of your clients.

And this all starts with you.

Your ability to weaken your Saboteurs and strengthen your Sage will 10X your ability to attract coaching clients. These foundational elements will support your clients in multiple facets of their life -- not just the one they hired you to work through as their coach.

This sustainable change creates a 10X impact on each client, which in turn leads to an increase in referrals to new clients who seek the same lasting changes.

What Coaches are Saying

"Fantastic tools for use with my clients"

"Positive Intelligence is a coaching program that helps you improve your mindset. Using research based exercises, this experience is transformative because it takes you through a series of self exploration exercises and raises your awareness to the ways you may be hindering your potential & how to achieve your true potential. It makes a shift in your brain to improve your mental fitness. It has helped me learn fantastic tools for use with my clients and helped me boost my curiosity and creativity."

Kathleen Polscer, M.S., LPC, CPC, BCC

"I knew I wanted to be a certified PQ Coach"

"I found this training amazing and so eye opening. I've started a life coaching practice as of the beginning of this year. And have found through my training how mindset plays a key key role in anyone's positive progress. From my third week in your training program I knew I wanted to be a certified PQ Coach to be able to help my clients make positive changes that are long lasting and not just a fly by night change."

Jennifer Sideregts, Visionary Roadmaps, LLC

"A new tool in my coaches tool kit"

"The book, videos, exercises and app are first rate, well researched, and accessible. I have been able to use the many metaphors, tools and tactics in my own practice. Importantly PQ has become a new tool in my coaches tool kit. To keep green and growing I encourage all coaches to explore this training so that they may fully manage their own Judge and Saboteurs, and bring out your Sage to help others more effectively."

Severin Sorensen, CEO, ePraxis

"Changing the world one person at a time"

"I was so honored to be a part of his program and have signed up for the PQ certification. It appeals to me because it provides absolutely essential tools to help my clients improve their performance, leading to self-actualization and ultimately leading them to become happier people in all of their relationships both personal and professional. Shirzad is a gift to our world... I want to live up to his and my dreams of changing the world one person at a time."

Liesel Duhon President, Duhon Executive Coaching

"This program is a 'must take'"

"This program has actually changed my life! It shows in the little steps I take each day to communicate better, shut down the voices that tell me I’m not enough and reenforce the Sage in me that appreciates my essence and that of others! ...I know I have become a better person because of this and this spills to my family, my employees, my friends, colleagues and it will definitely affect the world at large! This program is a “must take” for any coach wanting to make impact!"

Gloria Hauwa Gbemudu, CPCC, ACC

Give Your Clients Long Term Success

Similar to physical fitness, mental fitness is an ongoing process and habit, not a training event or a self-development book. Through the exclusive Positive Intelligence app, you will have a growing understanding of each of your client's unique challenges and interests enabling you to continue supporting them as their virtual mental fitness coach (in addition to the work you're already doing with each of your clients).

We're playing the long game and focus on maximizing continuous performance and happiness.

As a result, you grow a positive and thriving coaching practice where people are constantly becoming a better version of themselves and helping others do the same. You increase performance, wellness, engagement, and retention.

Proven, Measurable Results

Positive Physical Transformation

Within 6-8 weeks of mental fitness training you'd be able to see the results in MRI imaging:

  • Increased grey matter in the PQ Brain region, where your Sage lives
  • Decreased grey matter in the Survivor Brain region, where your Saboteurs live

Directly Tied to Business Outcomes

Improvements in these competencies lead to substantial results:

  • At MetLife, trained salespeople outsold the control group by 37%
  • Motorola recorded improved productivity in 93% of trained employees
  • In a UK restaurant group, higher competency resulted in 34% greater profit growth
  • At Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceutical, the average salesperson with improved competency sold $55,200 more per month
  • At L’Oreal, strength in these competencies resulted in $91,370 increase per salesperson
  • At CIBC, strength in these competencies account for 32% of booked sales and 71% of pipeline sales

"Life changing on so many levels."

"I’m so much more effective and have so much less stress in every area of my life — from blowing past revenue targets at work, to far more fulfilling relationships at home."

- Bruce Zali, VP of Sales & Marketing, Promise Technology

“A brilliant breakthrough.”

"The Positive Intelligence (PQ) model is a brilliant breakthrough as it defines, measures, and improves your awareness of your own performance and happiness. It also helps solve the mystery of why so many smart people still fail to be successful."

- Jim Lanzone, Chief Digital Officer, CBS

7-Week Program Curriculum

Week 1: Boost Your Self-Command Muscle

The first week you learn innovative 10-second PQ Reps that boost your self-command. This enables you to run your brain rather than being run by your Saboteur-hijacked brain. Self-command is key to intercepting unhelpful mental habits and rewiring your brain to respond more effectively.

  • Try out and discover PQ Reps that are most effective for you.
  • Reach the minimum target for PQ Reps/day to achieve rewiring goal within 7 weeks.
  • Use the app's breakthrough PQ Charge Meter to ensure optimal brain activation before important activities.
  • Declare an audacious aspiration--what you want to achieve through this program.

"The 'mind control' is life changing."

"What is new and life changing is the ‘mind control,’ the ability to ‘let go’ when any negative feelings take over. This program has given me the ability to be in the driver seat of my life."

- Nathalie Brys, General Counsel, Philips

Week 2: Intercept the Judge Saboteur

For this entire week, you'll intercept and weaken the most damaging Saboteur, the Judge. You discover how judging yourself, others, and circumstances is a key source of your stress and quite damaging to your performance. Most participants discover their Judge to be far more prevalent and damaging than they suspected.

  • Expose your Judge's hidden lies, limiting beliefs, and negative patterns.
  • Reveal your Judge's impact on performance, relationships, and stress.
  • Practice intercepting your Judge before it hijacks you.
  • Rewire your negative neural pathways by redirecting the Judge response.

Week 3: Intercept your Accomplice Saboteurs

This week you intercept and weaken the top accomplice to your Judge Saboteur, identified through the Saboteur Assessment from the following: Avoider, Controller, Hyper-Achiever, Hyper-Rational, Hyper-Vigilant, Pleaser, Restless, Stickler, Victim.

  • Expose your accomplice Saboteur's hidden lies, limiting beliefs and negative patterns.
  • Reveal this Saboteur's impact on performance, relationships, and stress.
  • Discover how to quickly intercept this Saboteur before it hijacks you.
  • Rewire your negative neural pathways by redirecting this Saboteur's response.

"This is the best training I’ve done."

"This is the best ‘training’ I’ve done in my 37 years here… I personally have experienced a new sense of energy, engagement and possibility both at work and at home — and I am actually getting full nights of sleep!"

— Gale Beckett, VP, Quality Assurance, P&G

Week 4: Shift from Saboteur to Sage

After weakening your Saboteurs, it is now time to strengthen your Sage, the counterpart to your Saboteurs. Your Sage lives in an entirely different part of your brain, generates all your positive emotions, and achieves peak performance through a calm and clear mind.

  • Practice the Sage Perspective that every outcome or circumstance can be turned into a gift and opportunity.
  • Use the 3 Gifts Technique to find the opportunity in setbacks.
  • Replace draining self-judgment with energizing self-acceptance and empathy.
  • Boost speed of recovery from failures and setbacks.

"Greatest happiness in years."

"I am much calmer and have a greater sense of happiness than I have felt in years. I feel physically lighter, and my energy is higher. Sage is now present all of the time. I sleep better, eat better, exercise better."

— Sandi Sandiland, Head of Global Sales P&D, Amazon

Week 5: Boost the Sage Powers

The Sage region of the brain enables 5 primary powers. Analogous to the 3 primary colors, these 5 powers recombine to form all of the emotional intelligence competencies considered crucial to professional success.

  • Augment your mental toolbox with 5 Sage powers.
  • Practice 3 techniques to activate each power.
  • Know when to use which power--right tool at the right time.
  • Boost emotional intelligence through combinations of the 5 primary powers.

Week 6: Take Clear-Headed, Laser-Focused Action

You use your Sage's Navigate and Activate powers to take clear-headed, laser-focused, decisive action.

  • Use your Sage's Navigate power to align your actions with a deeper sense of meaning and purpose.
  • Use your Sage's Activate power to act without fear or emotional distractions even in midst of great crises.
  • Discover your Sage's deep wisdom, far surpassing your analytical intelligence.
  • Discover how your Sage generates your highest performance while enjoying every step--"in the zone."

"I’m now enjoying every day, not just the final accomplishments."

"All my life I thought my high achievements were impossible without feeling constant stress. I’ve now learned to achieve even more with a calm and clear mind. I’m now enjoying every day, not just the final accomplishments. At the end of the quarter, I don’t feel the need for a long vacation anymore."

— Sharon Pinedo, Head of Sales (Workplace), Facebook

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible to receive the coaching grant?

Any active, professional coach is eligible to receive the coaching grant to participate in the PQ Program. This could mean you are running your own coaching business, coaching as a side hustle, or currently in a coaching role as an employee within your company.

What are the application requirements?

Besides being an active, professional coach, there's an additional requirement should you choose to apply for the coaching grant.

You are required to participate in the program with your own support & accountability group, called a "Pod". A Pod should consist of 3-5 professional coaches, including you.

Research proves you’re 500% more likely to succeed in our program when you partner with people who can offer accountability and support. Any coach you select for your Pod will need to meet the same eligibility requirements and complete the application too.

Can I apply more than once?

Please only apply once. Should you apply multiple times under different emails, all of your applications may be rejected.

Do I have to be ICF-certified to participate?

While many of our students are Master Certified Coaches, we do not require you to have ICF certification to participate. As long as you are actively receiving compensation for your coaching services, you may apply for the coaching grant.

Is this program right for me?

This is the right program for you if:

  • you want to dramatically increase the number of clients you can serve,
  • you want to dramatically increase the impact you have on each client,
  • you are looking for a science-based and trusted system to make results for your clients stick, and
  • you are willing to put in the initial effort to rewire years of mental habits that don't serve you.

What is the time commitment for the program?

You are also required to fully commit to the program throughout its duration. Once the program kicks off, we expect those who are participating to make this a priority. That means setting aside a couple of hours each week for the lessons and exercises. Here’s what you can expect in terms of time commitment:

  • Weekly video sessions (1 hour)
  • Daily app-guided mental exercises (15 minutes)
  • Weekly check-in meetings with your accountability pod group (30 minutes)
  • Q&A session with Coach Shirzad (optional, 45 minutes)

Is the program live or self-paced?

The program is is self-paced and delivered entirely through the Positive Intelligence app. The weekly video sessions are divided into bite-sized chunks for you to watch when you have the time.

Videos are released each Saturday and we most people find the weekend is the most convenient time to watch.

The only live component is the weekly check-in meeting with your accountability group, or "Pod". This is typically around 30 minutes long and held in any group video app (e.g. Zoom, WhatApp or FaceTime).

There is also an optional weekly Q&A session with Coach Shirzad which is held over Zoom to answer any questions you might have with the application of the material. All calls are recorded in case you cannot attend.

When is the live Q&A with Coach Shirzad?

The live weekly Q&A with Coach Shirzad will take place each Tuesday at 8am Pacific Time (11am Eastern). The Q&A is optional and all calls are recorded and shared within 48 hours.

What is the minimum/maximum number of Pod members?

The minimum number of Pod members is three, including yourself. And the maximum is five.

As your Pod meeting should be roughly 5 minutes/person any more than this makes the meetings too lengthy.

How do I find coaches to join my Pod?

We want every coach to have the opportunity to participate. As soon as you apply for the coaching grant, we'll provide you with links and emails that make it easy to invite others to join you.

If you don't have people in your immediate professional network that can join you, most coaches report being able to find buddies through posting on LinkedIn or Facebook, especially in professional groups that you might be a member of.

The earlier you apply, the more opportunity you have to find your Pod members, so don't delay!

We're still waiting for one person to be approved. Can I add them to my Pod later?

Yes. If you have 3 or 4 approved coaches already, you should go ahead and complete your Pod details by following the link in your approval email. Once your Pod is created, you'll be able to add any missing members.

Once you form your Pod, you are guaranteed your spot in my PQ Coaching Grant program. So it's worth doing as soon as you are able.

What if I have a group that's larger than 5 people?

You should split your group into two or more Pods. Every participant in the PQ Coaching Grant Program is able to communicate with the whole group using our unique Community features. So even if your group is split into multiple Pods, there's nothing preventing you from staying in touch and checking in with each other over the program's duration.

Does the coaching grant program include CCE units or certification?

No, we do not offer Continuing Coach Education (CCE) units for the coaching grant program.

We do not include certification as part of the coaching grant program. However, if you wish to become a Certified Positive Intelligence Coach in the future, your participation in the coaching grant program counts towards the pre-requisites.

What are the minimum technology requirements?

Your daily practice is delivered via the exclusive PQ app, where participants can access their daily mental fitness exercises, coach challenges, reflections, and their PQ metrics dashboard.

The minimum requirements for the PQ app are a smartphone or device capable or running iOS 12.0 or Android 6.0 onwards.
